About Cooperative Beef Solutions

Cooperative Beef Solutions™ is a new program formed to help beef producers increase their profitability. The Cooperative Beef Solutions™ Program includes four companies, each contributing a unique piece to the program. Participants benefit from the proven performance of each company’s individual technologies and services in a single, seamless program.

Genex Cooperative, Inc., a subsidiary of Cooperative Resources International located in Shawano, Wisconsin, offers superior genetics to the program through Artificial Insemination or Genex sired natural service herd bulls available from Genex seedstock customers. CRI subsidiary Central Livestock Auctions works with Genex in placement and sales of cattle in the upper midwest. Midwest MicroSystems, L.L.C. of Lincoln, Nebraska adds its Cow Sense® suite of software providing participants the most advanced on-ranch analysis and profit-driven decision tools based on individual animal management. The additional off-ranch cattle measurement, management, marketing, and animal performance feedback functions will be provided by the ACCU-TRAC® Electronic Cattle Management (ECM® ) System from Micro Beef Technologies, Ltd. of Amarillo, Texas. Decatur County Feed Yard, L.L.C. near Oberlin, Kansas performs the feeding and finishing aspects of the program along with the individual measurement and sorting of cattle in its state-of-the-art ACCU-TRAC® ECM facility. ECM® returns measured individual carcass data from the packer and links it to live performance data.

Producers, regardless the size of their operation, can take advantage of the most advanced conception-to-carcass system in the industry today. This innovative, cooperative program offers herd management software, DNA parentage verification, individual animal measurement and sorting, value-based marketing, matched live and carcass performance data, herd analysis, superior genetics, and individual animal profitability strategies. And with the importance of source and process verification becoming critical to the beef industry, the Cooperative Beef Solutions™ Program is providing producers, processors, and retailers the solution.
